Dear people teaching design, UI design and color theory please
TEACH 👏 YOUR 👏 STUDENTS 👏ABOUT 👏 ACCESSIBLITY 👏, especially for colors.
The 2 basics are:
1. Color contrats
2. Not using the color as the only way to convey information (status for example, errors, etc)

When your drone runs out of battery over a lake, timing is everything...

I could not name two without doing a disservice to the many people in the German Web Standards movement and the Vienna accessibility scene.

Okjökull was an iconic glacier in Iceland. Next week, a plaque is being installed at the site in memoriam. The land is now mostly ice-free. In glacier terms, Okjökull is dead.

Yes—it was climate change: earthobservatory.nasa.gov/imag

Obviously my guidance on how to use headings are “crap for SEO purposes” (says a commenter on Reddit).
Tough, my guidance will always put humans first. Also, nobody really knows what search engines value. Usually they are servicing people and so should value what benefits people

That thing when the only available link to continue with your visa application process is a link <a> with no href. 🤦‍♀️😬

Good thoughts in this thread. Also, from an accessibility standpoint:

Always have a different background color for the button area to guide low vision users.

When the next button is on the right, screen reader users tab to the other buttons as well, so they don’t miss options.

currentColor is one of the most under-appreciated CSS features.

I just realised that I can use currentColor for the fill attribute in SVGs and it made my day.

It’s `text-decoration-skip-ink` that just landed in Nightly now.

Skip-ink, btw, is a *rare* change to CSS that will be switched on by default for all sites everywhere. If you don't want it, you can use `text-decoration-skip-ink: none;` to turn it off. Meanwhile, look....

Greetings, and Twitter! is looking to replace ’s autocomplete widget. A ton of research on alternatives can be found at drupal.org/project/drupal/issu but all seem lacking in . What are others using, esp. for 1000s of items? (please RT)

In Germany we don't say „Alaska ist komplett eisfrei, extreme Dürren und Wassermangel werden die Erde unbewohnbar machen, wenn wir nicht JETZT etwas ändern", we say „Wir lassen uns von den Ökos unser Grillen und unser Billig-Schnitzel nicht verbieten“ and I think that's terrible.
